I’m Steve, owner and lead inspector at Clear Sight Home Inspection, proudly serving Boise, Idaho and the Treasure Valley. I founded Clear Sight to provide clear, thorough, and reliable home inspections that help buyers and sellers make confident, informed decisions.

My background is in residential construction, home building, and project management, where I spent over 15 years overseeing homes from the foundation to final walkthrough. I understand how homes are built, how systems work together, and where issues commonly develop over time. That construction experience allows me to evaluate homes beyond a checklist and provide insight that reflects real-world performance.

I also spent time working in real estate, where I saw firsthand how critical a quality home inspection is to the entire transaction. I experienced the stress buyers face, the timelines agents manage, and the importance of having accurate information when decisions matter most. That experience is what ultimately led me to start Clear Sight Home Inspection—because I knew the process, understood the gaps, and wanted to provide a higher level of service within it.

When I’m not inspecting homes, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors. I was a college swimmer and now train for triathlons and Ironman events—experiences that reinforce the discipline, preparation, and attention to detail I bring to every inspection. As a husband and father of two boys, I understand how important it is to protect your home, your investment, and your family.
